So says who?

I’m Jeremy. I’m a writer, drummer, and dedicated foodie. I’m also the Editorial Assistant at Westways Magazine and AAA Explorer.

I spent Spring 2024 studying abroad in Kyoto, Japan, and spent every free moment shoveling food in my mouth - a process that I started documenting on the Instagram account, @jeremyeatsjapan.

The posts on @jeremyeatsjapan (now @jeremyeatsworld) are exceptionally silly, as illustrated by an abundance of unflattering selfies and the liberal use of a nonsensical rating system. Later on, I also started posting creative non-fiction writing assignments for a class I was taking on washoku (traditional Japanese food).

These mini food memoirs proved to be a lot of fun to write, and I decided to keep up the habit even after leaving Kyoto. Though Instagram may be a good place for silly picture-based food content, it’s not a great platform for the written word; as such, So Says Sauce was born. Stick around for musings on food, music, culture, and whatever else strikes my fancy.
